What is the virtual classroom (VC)?
A virtual classroom is an online meeting room where you can meet your trainer/assessor to talk, share ideas, discuss course material and/or be assessed. We use Microsoft Teams. It is free, safe and easy to use. You will need a microphone and speakers or a headset to talk to your trainer. We recommend a USB headset. You do not need a webcam.
The virtual classroom has four (4) purposes:
- Virtual classroom assessment: At various times throughout your course you may be invited to participate in a virtual classroom assessment session with a trainer. You must book the session below.
- RPL application: To apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) you will need to book an RPL interview with your trainer to discuss your portfolio of evidence.
- Mentoring session: If you would like to book some personalised training.
- Course induction: If after watching the induction video in your welcome email you feel you require further assistance you may book a personal course induction.
Sessions generally are 15-30 minutes in length. There is no limit to the number of sessions you can book and attend.
If you are enrolled in a full qualification, you will find a link to the Virtual Classroom booking calendar in your course information section and also the Help & Support section of the dashboard.
